Kunming: Encourage the Development of eVTOL Aerial Tour Projects

Recently, the Kunming Municipal People's Government Office recently issued the "Kunming City 2025 Economic Steady Progress and Quality Improvement Policy Measures", which proposed to vigorously cultivate future industries, including low-altitude economy.

The document proposes to formulate a general plan for the development of low-altitude economy, improve the demarcation of low-altitude airspace, accelerate the improvement of low-altitude intelligent information network, promote the construction of low-altitude infrastructure and service platforms such as general airports and take-off and landing fields, start the construction of Kunming Civil Unmanned Aerial Test Base, vigorously attract and train leading enterprises, promote low-altitude + logistics distribution, production operations, education and training, cultural and sports tourism and other scene applications, encourage the exploration and development of eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft) aerial tours, aerial photography, aviation sports and other special projects in scenic spots with conditions such as the Dianchi Lake, and expand 50 low-altitude application pilot scenes.
